GETTING STARTED ONLINE
If you already have an account, click on "My Account" Please check this before the opening day rush. If you forget your login / password, we'll help you so call the Rec Office 781-659-8046 M-Th, 9a-2p. The system can also assign a new password.
STEP 1: First-timers: One adult in the family requests a private online account. It’s easy, just follow these step-by-step instructions. Again, you are encouraged to set up your account before the opening registration date rush when it is very busy and nearly impossible to get through by phone or have your
email replied in a timely fashion.
2. Open an existing account by clicking "My Account". Request a new online account by clicking on "Request Account".
3. Enter your account information, including your email address (so that you can receive confirmation & program updates)
4. Select a private Login Name and Password – and type a Question and Answer that you will remember (remember to make a note of this information for the future). Remember Passwords are case-sensitive, Logins are not. If you forget your login / password, we'll help you so call the Rec Office 781-659-8046 M-Th, 9a-2p.
5. Hit the “Submit” button
Once your online account is active, you can add family members and view your account details. You are ready to go!
STEP 2: From the same website, you can register for any activity. It’s easy:
1. Select the “View Activities” button
2. Click on an activity name and hit “Add to My Cart”
3. Login with your Login ID and Password. If you forget your login / password, we'll help you so call the Rec Office 781-659-8046 M-Th, 9a-2p.
4. Select (Highlight) the family member who will participate in the activity and answer any questions or add comments
5. Hit “Continue” twice & check that your order is accurate (note: a small service fee is applied to your order & the fee is not refundable)
6. Click “Ok” on the security notice, complete your credit card payment (American Express, MasterCard, Discover, Diner's Club or Visa), and hit “Continue” (note: you can print your receipt)
That’s it, you’re registered and will receive an email confirmation!
MAIL-INS; WALK-INS; DROP-OFFS & NON-RESIDENTS START MAY 16 (If space remains) Please realize that a program may already be filled by online registrations.
Send / bring COMPLETED form (click below) & a check payable: "Town of Norwell", Recreation, P.O. Box 295, Norwell, MA 02061. Visit our office at 345 Main St. on Mon-Thurs; 9a-2p. "Drop Offs" are possible anytime by using the gray drop box on the circular drive at the front of the Town Offices.
How to watch a good program die! ALL Programs have limits & DEADLINES, so don't delay! The DEADLINE FOR ALL SUMMER ACTIVITIES IS MAY 23, unless otherwise noted or already filled. If programs do not have the minimum numbers by deadlines, it could be cancelled. If programs have minimum numbers but are not full, registrations will continue but please do not delay to long! Great programs take
advance planning!
CANCELLATIONS, WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS: All refund requests must be in writing (email is ok at: recreation@townofnorwell.net). Full refunds (except the online service fee) will be issued if a program is full, cancelled by Norwell Rec or if you withdraw before the May 23 deadline. After May 23, participants withdrawing at least 2 full weeks before the program begins will receive a refund minus a $10 processing fee provided a waitlist person fills the spot and / or the minimum participation level has been achieved. No other refunds will be given as program expenses (instructors and supplies) will have already been incurred. Service fees are not refundable.
We'll email cancellations or post on on our website when possible. Summer refunds requiring a "town" ckeck may be submitted at the end of the season to minimize the paperwork costs. Refunds to credit cards are more efficient than "town refund checks" .
Registrations are accepted on a first-paid, first served basis to Norwell residents. Sorry, no phone reservations. Credit cards are only accepted online - not in the office. Late registrations must pay full fees, no pro-rating.
Confirmations? Online registrations receive confirmation, receipt by email & you may access your family schedule at "My Account" online. Please check / click on your email receipts links carefully & note all information on your calendar.
TERMS USED: "Transaction" confirmation emails are autogenerated and can include any of the following business transactions: "Enroll" means You Got In the Activity, "Wait List" means You Are Not In the Activity (it's Full but You are On a Wait List & you paid no fee if wait listed), or "Refund" means you withdrew before deadlines or the program was cancelled, or you withdrew too late to receive a refund. If you are on a wait list, we will call when an opening becomes available. Please do not show up at the activity until you are enrolled and paid.
Office sign-ups are confirmed if an email address is given (& legible) Otherwise, we do not send confirmations. You are enrolled upon our receipt of your payment & form. We will notify you if a program is full, cancelled or there is a problem with your registration or a change to the activity. Please note all information on your calendar!
Norwell Recreation reserves the right to change program details as needed due to enrollment numbers, available resources, weather, etc. You will be notified of any changes.
Financial Assistance. Consideration upon written request no later than May 1.
All abilities invited. If special accommodations are needed, please give us a 2-3 week notice.

Include information when registering.
Printable Rec Registration form and Specific Waivers are Required for: SUMMERSCENES (because of field trips), & the "extreme" sports classes of KAYAKING & ROCK CLIMBING. They are available by clicking View Activities or Online Registration link on the homepage and going to the specific activity.
