Certified copies of birth certificates of residents born in Norwell, or whose parents were living in Norwell at the time of birth, may be obtained from the Clerk for a fee of $8.00 each.
The same applies to death certificates of any person who dies in Norwell or who dies elsewhere but was a resident of Norwell at the time of death.
The Town Clerk is the Burial Agent. Burial Permits may be obtained from the Town Clerk every weekday during office hours. On weekends, a Burial Permit may be obtained from the Norwell Police Station/dispatchers if the appropriate death certificate is left with them. The fee for Burial Permits is $10.00 each.
